Here are some nomination criteria you could consider for each division

Each nomination will be divided into applicable decades (1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s), nominees should demonstrate their relevance and impact within the specified timeframe.

These criteria provide a comprehensive framework for evaluating nominees across all divisions and eras. Also this should allow for more nominees to be accepted each year.

Freestyle

  • Innovation:
    Demonstrated creativity and originality in riding style.
  • Influence:
    Impact on the evolution of freestyle BMX.
  • Performance:
    Consistent excellence in competitions or exhibitions.
  • Contribution:
    Contributions to the freestyle BMX community through coaching, organizing events, or advocacy.
  • Recognition:
    Awards, accolades, or media coverage received for freestyle BMX achievements.

Industry

  • Innovation:
    Contributions to the development of BMX equipment, technology, or infrastructure.
  • Leadership:
    Role in guiding or shaping the BMX industry.
  • Entrepreneurship:
    Founding or leading successful BMX-related businesses.
  • Impact:
    Influence on the growth and sustainability of the BMX industry.
  • Legacy:
    Enduring contributions to the culture and community of BMX.

Pioneer

  • Trailblazing:

Nomination Process

Every year, The Florida BMX Hall of Fame Committee invites nominations from the public and BMX enthusiasts.

Anyone can propose a candidate for the Florida BMX Hall of Fame.

Nomination submissions are accepted from October to November.

The committee shortlists the top nominees, subject to a vote by BMX constituents including current Hall of Famers and industry professionals.
